Kylie Minogue Awarded OBE In New Year Honours List

To top off a very successful 2007, Kylie is set to receive an OBE in the Queen's New Year Honours List.

Kylie, recognised for services to music, has said she's "deeply touched" to be awarded an OBE and has thanked her British fans for their love and support during her recovery from breast cancer.

Speaking from Melbourne, where she is spending Christmas with her family, she said: "I am almost as surprised as I am honoured to be awarded an OBE by Her Majesty The Queen.

"I feel deeply touched to be acknowledged by the UK, my adopted home, in this way.
